Leadership Coaching

The executive coaching process gives leaders tools for self examination and personal discovery that lead to higher levels of performance by raising awareness and enabling change.  While the outcome of these activities results in improved effectiveness and performance of the organization, our focus is on the individual. Our belief is that strong organizations are made up of strong individuals. We can help you identify and remove obstacles to your success and be the best leader you can be.

What is the Coaching Process?

Coaching is a series of conversations between the coach and the leader. It is a respectful dialogue that supports clients in achieving specific results to advance their leadership ability and achieve their full potential. We engage with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. We provide honest,  direct and confidential feedback and help leaders achieve greatness.

Awareness Tools

We believe that Psychometric tools can be useful instruments to raise self-awareness. Learning more about our own preferences, personality, and behaviors gives us insight into how we impact others. Many psychometric instruments are available to increase personal awareness, however, in our experience some are more effective than others.  After extensive study and experimentation we have selected DiSC®, Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team , MBTI, Firo-B and the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) as useful tools in coaching leaders  for high performance.

DiSC is a quadrant based model that focuses on identifying patterns of behaviour. Of all the personality tools this model is the most practical and has great utility in the workplace. DiSC is a family of tools and has specialized instruments for communications, diversity, team, and also leadership 360’s. Click here to learn more.

Teamwork is the single most untapped resource for competitive advantage. Patrick Lencioni, in partnership with Wiley Publishing developed The Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team. Powered by DiSC®, the profiles help participants understand their own styles. Considering everyone’s personalities and preferences to form a cohesive, productive team takes work, but the pay-off is huge for individuals, the team, and the organization. The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) is the number one best-selling instrument for conflict management. It is important to remember that Psychometric instruments are a starting point for reflection, exploration and discussion. Alone, they are not “silver bullets”, and will not solve team, conflicts, communications problems, or interpersonal issues. However, they can be an excellent first step in raising awareness to address these challenges. Instruments become more useful when they are used as a part of an overall process to support personal development and growth.
