One of the greatest challenges that leaders face is resistance.  Often the strategic planning process results in change, and sometimes people resist change.  This resistance can result in conflict, and whether this is overt or covert a leader must have the skills to identify and deal with resistance. Leaders must be able to confront and resolve difficult situations.
